This week we started talking about spending and earning money. We were taught how to fill out a W-4 form along with a 1040EZ form. Both of which I feel are very hard to fill out. Recently, we had to do a budgeting assignment of our future. For the job that I want to do I would be making about 2,569 dollars a month. I plan to share an apartment with my sister in Florida and so we would be splitting the cost between us. For things like food , entertainment and clothing I would spend about 500 dollars a month all together. But, in the end I would still have around 447.30 dollars left in extra spending money after taking care of all my necessary need. In conclusion, I learned how to spend the money that I earned wisely.
I learned all about needs, wants, values, and goals during personal fiance this week. We were tough how to identify different needs and wants that can effect our financial decisions in life. We also learned about the acronym smart. S standing for specific, M for measurable, A is attainable, R realistic, and T is for time bound. To show that we could understand this we had to write six smart goals, needs, and wants. I found out that the more you focus on a specific goal the quicker you can accomplish it. We have also started to work on a project called my life story collage. In this project we have to create a collage of our future showing our needs and wants in life. In conclusion, this week has shown me how to identify and accomplish smart goals that can further me for the future.
